AI literacy for Music

AI is changing how music is made and sold

Inside the programme

Every AI:OK certification includes Sound Judgement, our AI literacy programme. It can be one of the measures your organisation takes to support AI literacy under Article 4 of the EU AI Act. Completion alone does not establish compliance.

To enrol in Sound Judgement separately, visit AI:OK Academy.

Intentional Structure

Sound Judgement is a structured AI literacy programme for the music and creative industries. Thirty-six short films. Four connected areas. A way of seeing technology through music.

Short video lessons

Each lesson is a spoken-to-camera film - not a lecture, not a slide deck. A single idea, explored clearly, in the voice of Dr Martin Clancy.

108 checkpoint questions

Three questions after every lesson across three tiers: Understanding, Application, and Judgement. All must be passed to progress. No skipping ahead.

4 modules

Systems, Tools, Governance, and Judgement. Each section builds on the last. By the end, you do not just know more - you see differently.

A band performs on stage with blue and yellow spotlights, featuring a female vocalist singing and a guitarist playing guitar.
A room with two pianos, a collection of vinyl records on a shelf, a small wooden stool, a patterned rug, and a window showing trees outside.
Close-up of a DJ's hand manipulating controls on a DJ mixer, illuminated by colorful lights in a dark environment.
Silhouette of a person at a concert or event with bright stage lights behind them, raising one hand with fingers forming a rock on sign, crowd visible in the foreground.
A music recording studio with five guitars hanging on the wall, a mixing console, computer monitors, studio speakers, and various audio equipment illuminated by purple and orange lights.
